My Journey

My career began in the fascinating world of data engineering. I was driven by the challenge of understanding complex systems and a deep curiosity about how data could shape decisions. I loved the initial phase of learning, collaborating with my team, and finding my footing.

As I grew from a junior to a mid-level engineer, I had an important realization. While I felt a sense of accomplishment from coding, I was most energized and in a state of 'flow' when I was drawn to the 'why' behind the data—researching new concepts, planning project roadmaps, and communicating with stakeholders to bring everyone into alignment. I discovered that my greatest passion wasn't just in building a single component, but in orchestrating the entire process to help the whole team succeed.

This insight was a turning point. It led me to consciously pivot my career to leverage my deep technical background as a foundation for my natural strengths in planning, organization, and leadership. I am passionate about empowering teams, creating clear pathways to success, and building environments where everyone, especially women in tech, can do their best work.

My Philosophy

• I lead with curiosity. My process always starts with "why." I dive deep into research to understand the problem, the people, and the purpose behind every project before jumping to solutions.
• I plan with purpose. From my professional projects down to my personal goals, I am a natural planner. I thrive on breaking down ambitious goals into clear, manageable steps to create order out of chaos and build momentum.
• I believe in systems over stress. A well-designed process, clear documentation, and open communication are the best tools for preventing last-minute emergencies. I aim to create workflows that are both efficient and sustainable.
• I connect with empathy. Technology is built by people, for people. I prioritize building strong relationships with my teammates and stakeholders, creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels heard and valued.

• I enjoy being the trip planner among my friends. I love the challenge of researching a new destination and creating a detailed itinerary that makes sure everyone has a great time.
• My recent obsession has been baking. I like to understand the function of each ingredient so I can experiment and creatively adapt them.
• I once created a personal goal-setting system that breaks my yearly ambitions down into monthly, weekly, and daily tasks. It's my personal version of a project roadmap!
